ENGINEERING & MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR               

Our client is an important international Pharmaceutical group (CMO) that would seek to incorporate an Engineering Director to manage the entire Engineering and maintenance area of ​​the plant.

Member of the Management Committee and strategic manager of the Maintenance, Engineering, Project Management (CAPEX), HSE, GMP, SCADA, etc. areas. The role reports to the Plant Director, will lead  a team of 40 people and will be responsible for advising both on  CAPEX investments  at  the plant and optimization of engineering and maintenance processes.

 MISSION: The director will coordinate engineering operations in accordance with the objectives, “standards” and “guidelines” to ensure that industrial operations improve their flexibility, cost and customer service. Comply with the guidelines established in the company’s policy regarding team management and leadership.

FUNCTIONS:

Manage the Project Engineering Department in monitoring investments in new production equipment and plant facilities, as well as strategic projects to meet needs and requirements in terms of Quality Assurance. Coordinate and supervise the areas of Production Maintenance and Plant Maintenance.

Manage the Department of Industrial Systems of the Factory both at the level of Maintenance, Contingency Plan, System Backups and new systems that are implemented.

Guarantee the proper functioning of the Plant Equipment and Facilities. Define the rules for the supply of spare parts, equipment and external services in the Production machines and Plant Installations.

Technical transfers: Machines and equipment, technical documentation and technical specification formats. Validate the modification or improvement projects of the production equipment and facilities of the Plant.

Propose, prioritize and initiate technical studies in strategic fields, guarantee the coherence of the projects.

Propose and guide technological innovations in your area.

Define and monitor the department budget Negotiate contracts related to their areas of action and their renewals in collaboration with the Purchasing department. Verify and guarantee compliance with current legislation, group rules and commitments in your area.

CAPEX:

Ensure that the investments made both in fixed assets and existing assets ensure a useful life beyond the taxable year.

Ensure before its acquisition that there is no problem with the assets to be incorporated. Prepare the acquired assets for their correct use in the business. Manage the costs involved in any acquisition or investment as well as the sale or transfer of these.

GMP:

Guarantee that all production maintenance operations, plant maintenance, project engineering, industrial systems and HSE and Safety, are carried out under strict compliance with GMP, internal Standardized Work Protocols (SOP) and instructions contained in the work sheets. of route being reflected in the same, all the operations and incidents produced.

Ensure that all tasks in your area of ​​responsibility comply with GMP, ISO and related Quality directives. Being the department’s interlocutor in case of self-inspections and audits and responsible for corrective actions. Ensure annual ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 revalidation in their area of ​​responsibility.
